This site does not operate the AION 2 servers or provide live telemetry. The reliable way to check service availability is to compare the official announcement board, your launcher messages and the server-selection screen before changing local files.

Check the Official Sources First

Open the official AION 2 announcement board and look for maintenance, known-issue or emergency notices. Read the service region and time zone carefully; a notice for another region may not explain your login problem.

Then check Steam or PURPLE for a queued update. During patch deployment, the launcher may remain available while game login or individual worlds are not. Let an active download finish before judging the server state.

Read the Launcher and Login Stage

Where the process stops helps narrow the cause:

StageWhat to check next
Launcher will not openPlatform sign-in, pending launcher update, Windows restart
Launcher opens but cannot patchFree disk space, connection, platform file verification
Game opens but login failsOfficial maintenance notice, account session, region selection
Server selection is emptyRegion, active outage notice, client version
One server is unavailableServer-specific notice or temporary capacity condition
Character enters but disconnectsNetwork stability, current instance, wider player reports

Keep the exact error code and wording. “Cannot log in” covers several different stages and is not enough to choose a safe fix.

Scheduled Maintenance vs. an Outage

Scheduled maintenance normally has an official notice with a stated window. Emergency maintenance or an outage may be announced after players first see errors. Refresh the official board after a few minutes instead of repeatedly reinstalling the client.

Convert the notice time to your local time and check whether it includes the end of maintenance or only the start. The weekly reset guide covers routine reward planning, but a weekly reset and server maintenance are not automatically the same event.

Safe Local Checks

If there is no official service notice and other players can connect, use this order:

  1. Confirm that the launcher is signed into the intended account and region.
  2. Close the game normally, restart Steam or PURPLE, and check for an update.
  3. Verify the client files through the platform.
  4. Restart the router only if other services also show connection trouble.
  5. Restart Windows after a launcher, driver or security update.
  6. Return to the server selection screen and confirm the intended server.

Do not delete random client folders, replace DLL files, disable security permanently or use an unofficial “server fixer.” The installation guide lists the supported distribution paths.

If Only Your Account Is Affected

An account-specific message can involve authentication, a duplicated session, region choice or an account action. Save a screenshot without exposing personal information, note the time and launcher, then use official support.

Do not share verification codes, recovery links, full email addresses or payment records in public chat. Official support may ask for identifiers through its protected form, but another player does not need them to diagnose server availability.

If Only One Character or Activity Is Affected

When the account can reach server selection but one character or instance fails, a full reinstall is rarely the first useful test. Try another character if available, record the affected map or activity, and check current known-issue notices. After a disconnect from group content, follow the current reconnect prompt before starting a new party or queue.

If the error began immediately after a client update, verify files and review the PC troubleshooting guide for launch-specific checks.

What to Send to Support

Provide a small, reproducible report:

  • service region, launcher and server;
  • time of the most recent attempt, including time zone;
  • exact error code or screenshot;
  • whether launcher patching, login and server selection worked;
  • whether another character or network was tested;
  • the safe troubleshooting steps already completed.

This information separates a service incident from an account, client or network issue. Check the official board again before repeating disruptive steps, because the status can change while you are testing.
