On this page

Hidden Cubes are reward chests scattered across AION 2's open world. Explore side paths and vertical spaces, watch for their glow, and listen for a shimmering sound. This guide covers regions and search tactics; it does not claim to be a point-by-point map.

Start with the regions available to your faction. The areas below are broad search zones, not exact cube coordinates:

RegionFactionAreas to check
VerteronElyosAltamia Canyon, Ellun River Midstream, Fortress Ruins, Aullaeu Village
EltnenElyosEiron Hill, Barrier Tower Ruins, Ruberein Highland
AltgardAsmodianDredgion Crash Site, Purifying Forest, Battlescar Mound

Where to look

Cubes favor cliffs, ledges, rooftops, ruins, spots behind waterfalls — and underwater. Turn your volume up; the audible hum is the best detector.

Cube Keys: Where to Get Them

Some cubes can be opened without a key, while a Cube Key can improve the reward. Check the current in-game descriptions before spending currency. Possible key sources include:

  • Quests: "Odyle Collection / Contaminated Area" (~level 11) and "Nine Wonders: 2nd Leg" (~level 32) give one key each.
  • Achievements: the "Who Brought the Chest?" chain awards 7 keys across its tiers.
  • Season Shop: check the current Oath Coin price and account limit in-game.
  • Monolith progression (feather turn-ins), Daeva Pass, attendance rewards and level-45 Duty quests.
  • Cash shop: an optional purchase route may be available, depending on the current regional shop.

Rewards

Cube loot can include Soul Crystals, Soul Codices, Silentium, Power Shards, Odyle Energy, consumables and cosmetics. Reward quantities and drop chances can vary by cube and game version; this page does not provide unverified rates.

Farming Route Tips

  1. Bring keys only after checking the current cube and shop descriptions.
  2. Search the named areas in the table above instead of roaming blindly.
  3. Check ledges, ruins, rooftops, caves and water edges before leaving an area.
  4. Enemy-faction regions are reachable during Spacetime Rifts — combine both into one trip.
