The global data snapshot contains 1,025 armor pieces across 7 slots. Armor progression works best when it solves a real problem—entry Item Level, survival, role stats or a weak slot—rather than when every newly found piece is enhanced immediately.

The Seven Armor Slots

The recorded slots are Shoes, Top, Cloak, Gloves, Legs, Helm and Pauldrons. All classes fill the same slot structure in this dataset, but that does not make every stat combination equally useful. Read the class and equip restrictions shown on the live item before transferring or dismantling anything.

Evaluate the whole set for gaps. One weak low-level piece can be a cheaper progression fix than replacing several acceptable pieces at once.

Grades and Useful Stats

The recorded grades are Common, Rare, Epic and Unique. Grade and Item Level help narrow a comparison, but the final decision also depends on defensive attributes, role stats, sockets, enhancement and any transferable investment. A higher color is not permission to ignore unusable or redundant stats.

Use the stats guide to identify the attributes relevant to damage, tanking, healing and PvP. Keep separate presets only when the benefit justifies the additional enhancement cost.

Where Armor Comes From

Across the inventory, the snapshot records 623 monster sources, 126 craft sources, 217 dungeon or raid sources, 364 box sources and 308 quest sources. These sources overlap because a single armor piece can have more than one acquisition route. The totals therefore describe source relationships, not distinct additional items.

Check the content you can actually clear and the currencies or materials each route consumes. A repeatable craft or quest reward can be a better bridge than waiting for a rare drop.

Upgrade Priority

  1. Set the next Item Level or encounter-survival target.
  2. Identify the slot creating the largest gap.
  3. Compare stats and usable source routes.
  4. Inspect transfer, extraction, binding and socket rules.
  5. Use the gear enhancement guide before spending.
  6. Stop when the chosen target is met and preserve materials for replacements.

The gear progression guide provides the broader replacement loop. For crafted armor, compare the complete recipe and opportunity cost through the crafting guide.

Common Mistakes

Avoid enhancing every slot evenly, dismantling a developed piece before checking transfer, or treating a source list as a guaranteed drop. Lock candidates you may reuse and verify each current tooltip before committing resources.
