AION 2 uses several currencies and exchange items for different shops and progression systems. The safest way to manage them is by purpose rather than memorizing an old price table. Open the currency tooltip, locate its vendor or menu, and decide whether it funds immediate access, a permanent upgrade or an optional purchase.

Build a Currency Ledger

For every unfamiliar currency, record four facts from the current client: where it comes from, where it is spent, whether it has a cap or reset, and what purchase you are saving for. Currency pages and vendor stocks can change after maintenance, so treat the in-game amount and timer as authoritative.

PurposeTypical decision
General costs such as equipment servicesKeep a working reserve before optional purchases
Dungeon or activity rewardsCheck reward limits and the exact exchange menu
PvP or faction progressionSave for the item that advances your active build
Crafting and gatheringCompare buying materials with gathering or crafting them
Event currencyRead the event end date and exchange deadline first
Premium or paid currencyConfirm account, region and purchase details before use

The global client uses Kina as the standard English name for its general in-game money. Keep terminology from the client when searching vendors so you do not confuse it with names used by older games or other regions.

Spend in the Right Order

  1. Reserve enough for required equipment, travel or system costs.
  2. Buy an unlock or permanent upgrade that removes a current bottleneck.
  3. Secure time-limited value only after checking the expiration and your ability to use it.
  4. Improve the active build rather than collecting items for several future builds at once.
  5. Leave a reserve when the next content tier or vendor refresh is close.

An item is not a bargain if it delays the equipment transfer, enhancement or consumable needed for the activity you are trying to enter.

Caps, Resets and Expiration

Check whether the number shown is a wallet cap, weekly earning limit, purchase limit or reward-claim limit; these are different restrictions. Note the reset time in your region. Event items may stop dropping before their shop closes, or the shop may close with the event, so read both dates in the current notice and client.

Never convert a large balance just to avoid a rumored cap. Confirm the actual limit and conversion result on the transaction screen.

Vendor Checklist

Before confirming a purchase:

  • Verify the selected character, server and region.
  • Read binding, trade and storage restrictions.
  • Compare the item with what you already own.
  • Check whether another system supplies the same item.
  • Confirm the quantity, currency type and remaining balance.
  • For paid purchases, review the official store terms and refund conditions shown for your account.

Weekly Planning

Use the daily and weekly checklist to identify which activities generate the currency you actually need. Set one target purchase, calculate the remaining balance from the values shown in game, and stop farming once the target is funded unless the activity offers another useful reward.

For equipment spending, follow the gear progression guide. For material value, compare the options in the crafting guide.

Avoid These Mistakes

  • Spending a rare currency because the first vendor item looks affordable.
  • Assuming two similar icons use the same wallet.
  • Buying bound items for the wrong character.
  • Ignoring an event exchange deadline.
  • Copying fixed prices or caps from a different patch.

Keep a purpose and target for each balance. A short ledger turns a crowded currency menu into a progression plan and makes every weekly purchase easier to evaluate.
