The global client places 1,700 Empyrean Traces across six regions. Picking one up grants the bound token for that region, which can be resonated at the matching Monolith for permanent progression. This is a region-level planning guide, not an interactive point map; use the live world map and collection state to confirm each pickup.

Counts by Region

The recorded distribution is Verteron: 560, Eltnen: 140, Altgard: 560, Morheim: 140, Lower Reshanta: 200, and Middle Reshanta: 100. That gives 700 traces in Elyos lands, 700 in Asmodian lands and 300 in Reshanta.

Your faction determines the early-region route. Do not travel to an opposing faction region expecting an identical quest path. Reshanta becomes a shared later priority when access and survival are practical.

Ground, Air and Water

Across all regions, the snapshot records 1,243 ground traces, 385 air traces and 72 underwater traces. Ground traces are the easiest foundation for a first pass. Air routes need enough flight time and a safe landing plan, while underwater pickups are easy to miss if you search only the terrain surface.

Finish dense ground clusters before repeatedly crossing a region for isolated points. Then run a dedicated flight circuit and a separate underwater check so the movement mode stays consistent.

A Practical Collection Route

  1. Unlock the region and its nearby travel points.
  2. Collect visible traces while completing quests and exploration objectives.
  3. Separate ground, air and underwater clean-up passes.
  4. Record the remaining count before leaving each sub-area.
  5. Resonate tokens at the correct regional Monolith instead of carrying them indefinitely.

The Hidden Cube guide can be paired with the same exploration session, but do not assume every trace and cube shares a spawn point or reset rule.

Using Traces at Monoliths

Trace tokens are region-bound. A large regional total does not mean every token is required for the current Monolith cap. Check the live Monolith level, next cost and reward before turning in a batch. The Monolith guide explains the level caps and recorded cumulative requirements.

If your inventory count and collection progress disagree, revisit the current region panel before repeating the whole route. Some pickups may be airborne, underwater or already counted on another pass.

Version Notes

Counts and location types reflect global client build 0.0.4387.0. Client updates can move or add points. This page deliberately avoids invented coordinates and does not claim to replace an in-game or verified interactive map.
