The Spiritmaster is AION 2's summoner — elemental spirits tank and deal damage while you layer curses and DoTs. It's the safest solo class at launch and markedly more popular on global servers than in KR/TW. Class basics: Spiritmaster overview. Rankings: class tier list.

Build Summary

  • Role: summoner / DoT magic DPS
  • Stat focus: Attack with Status Effect Chance for your curse/DoT kit
  • Weapon: Orb (reference build: Aulamus Orb — the source notes pushing it to +15 early)
  • Armor: reference build uses the Vakron set

Playstyle Notes

  • Your spirits are your party: keep a summon up at all times and let it hold enemy attention while you stack DoTs from safety.
  • Rotate spirits to feed Elemental Fusion — each spirit skill grants you its element, so spirit uptime directly scales your own output.
  • Debuffs and DoTs define the class; Status Effect Chance substats make your whole kit land more reliably.

Gear Priorities

  1. Orb first; the reference build explicitly advises pushing the weapon to +15 early.
  2. Attack plus Status Effect Chance substats.
  3. Orbs come from Alchemy — pair the class with Alchemy if you craft your own gear.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths: the safest solo experience at launch (pets tank for you), strong sustained DoT pressure, valuable party debuffs, excellent in group PvP/Abyss.

Weaknesses: damage is indirect and ramping rather than bursty, and managing four spirits plus DoT tracking is the busiest kit among the mage classes.
