AION 2: What to Do With Old Gear (Extract, Morph or Sell)

Old gear piles up fast in AION 2, and the wrong disposal method can cost you thousands of enhancement stones or a wardrobe skin you'll want later. Here is the decision guide.

The Golden Rule

Almost never sell gear to NPCs, and never simply delete uniques. Every piece of old gear has a better use.

Option 1: Extract (Most Gear)

Item Extraction (the beaker tool in your inventory) breaks gear down and gives you:

• Enhancement stones back — if the item was enhanced, extraction refunds the stones you spent. You effectively only lose the Kinah.
• The item's skin added to your wardrobe/closet — wardrobe completion grants passive stats, and duplicate skins can be combined for chances at weapon skins.

Extract anything you outgrew, especially enhanced pieces at +5 or lower.

Option 2: Substance Morph (Uniques)

Spare unique-grade gear is more valuable converted than extracted:

• Transfer Stones — move an item's enhancement level and soul-bind bonuses to new gear. This is how you upgrade tiers without starting over.
• Sync Stones — reroll one passive line on a piece of gear (endgame min-maxing).

Morph your unwanted uniques. Extracting or deleting them wastes the conversion value.

Option 3: Sell on the Market (Valuable Drops)

Tradeable boss and world-boss drops can be worth listing on the marketplace instead:

• Check the going rate first — some "old" legendaries sell for serious Kinah to players doing Supply Requests (turn-ins that pay Abyss Points).
• Factor in the listing fee; cheap items aren't worth the slot.
